A.S.F. Fischer BV was established in Amsterdam in 1945. Starting out as the ‘Fischer Amsterdam Screws Factory’ (‘Amsterdamse Schroeven Fabriek’) we have been our customers’ partner in the field of fasteners and related products for over 80 years.

A.S.F. Fischer BV was established in 1945 as the ‘Amsterdamse Schroeven Fabriek Fischer’ on the Bloemgracht in Amsterdam.
Just after World War II there was obviously a huge demand for fasteners. The range was initially produced in-house. Various machines struck the wire for the wire nails or turned the wire for the production of screws. The company soon grew to become a leading manufacturer of screws.
In the early 1970s, A.S.F. Fischer BV moved from Amsterdam to new and larger business premises in Lelystad. Over the years, under the leadership of Mr Rob Booij, the company increasingly developed into an importer, wholesaler and concept developer of fasteners in the broadest sense of the word.
Recent history
Today, A.S.F. FISCHER BV mainly supplies its products and concepts to the professional building materials trade, the wood and sheet materials trade, the hardware trade, electrotechnical wholesalers, central heating and sanitary fittings wholesalers and large-scale industry.
In recent years we have closely followed developments in the professional construction industry. This has led to the successful development and inclusion of a range of products, brands and concepts. This in turn has led to a substantial growth of the company, both in turnover, sales, and number of employees. Our physical presence also grew with the construction of new warehouses in 1995, 2001, 2005, 2007, 2010, 2020 and 2023.
The commissioning of a fully automated high-rise warehouse followed in October 2010. The fully automated warehouse processes our order flow 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 2020 marked the company’s 75th anniversary.
